First of all, please introduce your company's history in brief?
Our company was established in 2016 and started providing system engineering services, and in 2020, we expanded our operations by developing and introducing the "TUS D+" work management platform. The goal of the "Tuss solution LLC"-s activity is very clear from the name itself. We are the only one organization in Mongolia that provides services for systematization and digitization of organizational systems based on system engineering methods.
At present, more than 30 talented young people with various professions and work experience are working together to become a leading company in the development and support services of creating business systems that create value. In addition, research-based methodology is the principle of our work. Since 2018, in cooperation with the "Young Researchers Support Foundation" NGO, we have carried out a total of 20 research projects since 2018.
In addition to internal cooperation, what other capabilities have you built to strengthen your credibility in foreign markets and with your clients?
In 2019, We ,from Mongolia, joined INCOSE /International Council of Systems Engineering/ for the first time in order to introduce the company's operations and solutions to foreign experts and exchange experience. We are also participating in the working group of "Social System Engineering" to present our developed solutions and research projects, discuss them and gain recognition. One of its clear examples is that we developed a "Smart City Model" in cooperation with INCOSE, which is expected to become an official product of INCOSE.
Can you share your work experience and history as an organization manager?
Gund Investment LLC, the parent company of the "Tus solution LLC", previously operated under the name of Mongolian Investment Holding. At that time, our organization faced many problems and the activities of the group began to stagnate. From that time, Jargalsaihan D., the director of the group, was looking for a solution and came across a work called "System Thinking". Since 2014, I have worked with the director on how to apply the principles of the book in real life and turn them into practical solutions. Thus, in 2016, we came to the conclusion that "it not only solves the problems of our company, but it is a solution that creates value for solving the problems of other organizations."
I understand that the value you provide to other organizations is the service of investing in startup companies, nurturing them, installing system engineering methods, and providing diagnostic and evaluation methods. Judging from past years of experience, what are some common problems faced by startups?
To put it simply, a common mistake customers make is not drawing pictures of your house when you set out to build a house. Startups have great ambitions, dreams and goals. However, the first major cause of failure is not having a system in place to achieve that goal. On the other hand, the directors who are creating the system have only mapped the system in their own heads and have not shared it with other stakeholders and have not been able to create a common understanding. As a result, the stakeholders of the organization cannot work together as a team or system for the same goal.
So, by receiving your services, can it be understood that the director's dreams will be put on paper and the formed activities will be put into circulation as a system creation?
Yes. We work in two ways when we turn the great idea in the founder's head into a management model to manage the organization's system. The first is: organizing the intellectual solutions that make up the organizational system, including rules and regulations, incorporating them into policy documents, and providing coherent and integrated management of workflows. The other one: Digitize the solution.

We are introducing and developing the "Tus D+" platform. Starting from assembling the organization's system on that platform, every stage of operation is being digitized without writing any code. In this way, regardless of whether it is a company that grows vegetables, a car manufacturer, or an organization that provides consulting services, it offers its customers a service that can digitize the operations of any organization in an orderly and systematic manner. Every startup entrepreneur has a goal to reach. Then we are preparing the car. It means that you are ready to drive your car with your ideas.
In the past, how many companies that have used the model solutions offered by your organization have stood firm on their feet. And how long from the starting point do you feel successful and satisfied?
There are approximately 70-80 companies that have done diagnostics at various levels, introduced the system, and tried using digital solutions. For organizations that have adopted a holistic system, they focus on long-term results rather than short-term results. Because our service creates a self-correcting and improving system. Therefore, instead of saying that the sales revenue has increased like this in half a year, the value created increases year after year after 1-3 years. For example, for companies that first switched to this model after 2016 and formed their system, today they understand its value better. Along the way, there are changes that reinforce its success with more value. In other words, the company itself used to make development and improvement in accordance with its operations on the system installed by us. Considering the short-term results, when the system starts working, the responsibilities of each employee of the organization are clear, in turn, the achievements and results can be measured, and the quality results such as whether the organization is able to implement its goals or where it is failing, can be immediately seen. Within one to two years, cost productivity, capital productivity, and labor productivity are increasing.
The main reasons that cause startups to fail are mentioned. So what should be done to reduce it? What kind of effort is required from the customer who buys your product or service?
Customers should see our products and services as "tools" rather than "magical solutions". The results depend on how you use those tools. Our tools will make your actions more organized, faster and more efficient. If the goal of our startups is right from the starting point, the system will make it faster. From this point of view, it is very effective. And our clients need to understand very well that they are stakeholders in the system. Because we have a system of developing the organization's system together rather than entrusting the problems to us. Therefore, if the client does not see his organization as a stakeholder in the system, it will not develop.
Mongolians have a habit of trying to solve any problem independently rather than solving it as a team, which may be a characteristic of our nomadic civilization. But from your conversation, I understood that cooperation is important.
Yes, our system contains a solution to regulate and guide Mongolian people, who are open-minded and not bound by any box. One of them is the Chilean Economist Arthur Manfred"Matrix of Basic Human Needs" defined by Max Neef. Regardless of whether they are Mongolians, Germans, or Englishmen, the basic needs of every person are classified and defined in an orderly and systematic manner. In this way, by aligning the needs of each stakeholder with the system's goals and reward and accountability solutions, a foundation is formed for working as a team toward an effective common goal. Also, we focus on how to think clearly rather than limiting the advantage of the open mind of Mongolians. Therefore, we offer many solutions on the thought process, from goal setting to data gathering and processing, drawing conclusions, choosing actionable alternatives, and the order in which decisions are made.
How many competing companies are there in your business?
Currently, there is no other company in Mongolia that operates under the name of System Engineering. In our company's charter and certificate, it is clearly stated that "System engineering services will be provided". However, there are quite a few organizations that provide management consulting services, process engineering, introduce ISO standards, and develop software. Compared to these, our work and services are characterized by the fact that we look at the organization's problems holistically and reflect their interrelationships, offering comprehensive solutions.
How startups can connect with yours. Are there any criteria you set for your partner organizations?
Previously, startups came to our organization for diagnostics and then we went to work on fixing the system, but now, as a result of the introduction of digital solutions, the reach of services is expanding. Startups do not know the principles of the system in detail, but using our digital platform, they have the opportunity to digitally assemble and systematize their organization. Your company has two main goals: attracting investment and helping others. What profits are offered to investors?
For us, we are creating value for investors by creating a system that has sustainable growth, self-diagnosis and improvement, and mutual value for all stakeholders, rather than short-term high growth.
